Founded in 1988 by two sorority sisters with a shared passion for entertaining, Tablescapes Event Rentals has grown into one of Chicago’s premier event rental companies. For over three decades, we’ve been the trusted partner for planners, caterers, venues, and individuals seeking design-forward rentals and exceptional service. Our mission is to elevate events through a curated inventory of over 2,750 SKUs and more than 800,000 individual pieces—from timeless tabletop to large-scale kitchen equipment. Backed by an 87,000 sq ft warehouse, a fleet of 24 trucks, and the Milwaukee’s only event rental showroom, we deliver seamless logistics and hands-on planning support. While we’re best known for our style-driven selection and operational reliability, something you might not know is that our founders’ friendship and love of hosting continues to inspire our client-first, hospitality-rooted culture to this day.
2.) What does the future hold for your organization?
Looking ahead, Tablescapes is focused on strategic growth—both in our offerings and our reach. We plan to expand regionally, with a key priority being our entry into the Milwaukee market, where we aim to become a trusted local partner known for rental solutions and reliable service. Future success for us means continuing to anticipate our clients’ evolving needs, which includes expanding our inventory to offer a more robust furniture collection and enhancing the showroom experience in every market we serve. As we grow, we remain committed to maintaining the high-touch service, seamless logistics, and design-forward inventory that set us apart. To ensure future success, we know it’s essential to invest in our team, our infrastructure, and meaningful relationships with the planners, venues, and creative professionals who bring events to life.
3.) How do you impact your community?
At Tablescapes, we believe in the power of community and collaboration, which is why we’re proud to support and invest in the local events industry. We actively sponsor industry events such as the NACE Experience Conference, coming to Milwaukee this July, to help foster connection, education, and growth among event professionals. We also partner with and support local creatives by sponsoring styled photoshoots and vendor collaborations, helping to elevate their work and showcase fresh ideas. Supporting our community isn’t just a nice-to-have—it’s woven into our culture. By investing in local talent and organizations, we build stronger industry relationships and help cultivate a more vibrant, connected events community across every market we serve.
4.) Why is it important to your organization to support Summerfest through the Summerfest Business Alliance and what are some of the unique ways in which you distribute/use your Summerfest tickets?
As a company rooted in celebration and connection, supporting Summerfest through the Summerfest Business Alliance aligns perfectly with our values. Milwaukee is known as the city of festivals, and Summerfest is a cornerstone of that identity—bringing people together through music, culture, and community. We’re proud to be part of an event that showcases the vibrancy of the city we’re expanding into. We’ve used our Summerfest tickets as thoughtful gifts to thank our partners and as a way to build new relationships across Milwaukee, creating opportunities for authentic connection in a fun, local setting.
5.) When was the first time you attended Summerfest? Do you have a favorite Summerfest memory?
I first attended Summerfest in 2023, shortly after moving to Milwaukee, and instantly felt the energy and excitement that makes the city so special. One of my favorite memories was getting to see a friend perform on one of the stages—it was such a full-circle moment that highlighted both the local talent and the sense of community that makes Summerfest so unique. It was the perfect introduction to Milwaukee’s vibrant culture and creative spirit.
