1.) Tell Us Your Story!

Wisconsin Lumber & Pallet was founded with the mission of providing cost-effective, sustainable, and custom industrial wood packaging solutions to manufacturers throughout Wisconsin. With nearly two decades of experience in the wood packaging industry, we specialize in custom pallets, crates, and dunnage, helping businesses optimize their packaging for cost savings, load efficiency, and product protection. Best known for our expertise in waste reduction and packaging optimization, we offer free design services to help companies reduce material costs while improving supply chain efficiency. Beyond providing high-quality wood packaging, we are committed to sustainability, donating 1% of gross sales to global tree conservation efforts. We believe that smart, sustainable packaging not only benefits businesses but also plays a crucial role in protecting our forests and preserving our planet for future generations.

2.) What does the future hold for your organization?

At Wisconsin Lumber & Pallet, our future is centered on growth, innovation, and sustainability. Our top priorities include expanding our customer base across Wisconsin and northern Illinois, enhancing our custom packaging design services, and continuing to help manufacturers optimize their wood packaging for cost savings and efficiency.

Future success means becoming a recognized leader in sustainable industrial wood packaging. While many pallet companies operate in Wisconsin, none are solely focused on providing waste-reducing, efficiency-driven, and environmentally responsible solutions. We continue to evolve by staying ahead of industry trends, embracing sustainable practices, and leveraging technology to improve our offerings. To ensure long-term success, we plan to expand our team, build capacity, and explore automation efficiencies that enhance productivity and innovation. Above all, we remain committed to delivering exceptional value to our customers, strengthening our sustainability initiatives, and driving continuous improvement in the packaging industry.

3.) How do you impact your community?

At Wisconsin Lumber & Pallet, giving back is part of who we are. We believe that strong businesses help build strong communities, and we are committed to making an impact both locally and globally. For global impact, we are a Conservation Circle sponsor of Rainforest Trust, supporting efforts to protect endangered forests and biodiversity worldwide. Locally, we invest in our community by supporting youth programs, athletics, and entrepreneurship. We sponsor the Sidewinders men's slow-pitch softball team, helping promote local sports and community engagement, and we contribute to the Mukwonago Fine Arts Boosters, ensuring that young artists have access to creative opportunities.

Beyond financial support, we believe in giving back through mentorship and expertise. Through SCORE, we donate our time to mentor small businesses and startups, helping fellow entrepreneurs navigate the challenges of growing a business. By investing in conservation, community programs, and business development, we strive to make a meaningful difference while staying true to our values of sustainability, teamwork, and continuous improvement. Giving back gives us purpose, and we are proud to support the people and causes that help our community thrive.

4.) How have you had to adapt to change?

Our business was founded on a pivot. When our founder’s employer was acquired by private equity (twice), Ryan knew it was time to forge a new path—one where he could uphold his values without compromise. With years of experience contributing to a large manufacturing company, he saw an opportunity to build something better: an independent business rooted in innovation, sustainability, and integrity.

Adapting to change has been central to our success, from navigating supply chain challenges to optimizing packaging solutions that help customers save costs and reduce waste. We continuously evolve by embracing new technologies, improving efficiency, and staying ahead of industry trends. Personal values like vision, integrity, initiative, flexibility, and doing-the-right-thing will always be at the heart of our company. When these values guide decision-making, only good things follow.

5.) Why is it important to your organization to support Summerfest through the Summerfest Business Alliance and what are some of the unique ways in which you distribute/use your Summerfest tickets?

At Wisconsin Lumber & Pallet, we believe in and support the arts, which is why we are proud to be part of the Summerfest Business Alliance. Music and live entertainment bring people together, fostering creativity and strengthening communities—values that align with our mission. Summerfest provides a unique opportunity for us to give back to our customers while celebrating the culture and energy that make Wisconsin special.

We distribute our Summerfest tickets in creative and meaningful ways, including Customer Appreciation Giveaways, where we surprise key customers with tickets as a thank-you for their business. We also reward customers who refer new business or connections to Wisconsin Lumber & Pallet through our Referral Rewards program. Additionally, we donate tickets to local charity events for silent auctions and raffles, helping to support important causes in our community. These efforts allow us to show gratitude, build stronger relationships, and share the excitement of Summerfest with those who help make our business successful.

6.) When was the first time you attended Summerfest? Do you have a favorite Summerfest memory?

One of our favorite Summerfest memories was when our whole family attended Imagine Dragons' performance at the American Family Insurance Amphitheater in 2024. It was a night we had been looking forward to, especially with AJR scheduled as the opening act. However, due to a family emergency, AJR had to cancel, which was an unexpected twist. In their place, we were introduced to Benson Boone, an artist we had never heard of before—but by the end of his set, my daughters were absolutely hooked. It was amazing to watch them light up with excitement, discovering a new artist in such an unforgettable setting. Now, fast forward to 2025, and we're already planning our return to the Amphitheater on July 3 to see Benson Boone perform as a headliner. My daughters are beyond excited, and it’s a perfect example of how Summerfest creates lifelong music memories in the most unexpected ways.

7.) Which artist would you love to see on a Summerfest stage?

Probably never going to happen, but we'd sure like to see the Eagles at Summerfest.
