1.) Tell Us Your Story!
Godfrey & Kahn is a full-service corporate law firm, providing strategic legal advice and smart, practical solutions to many of Wisconsin's most vibrant companies. Our firm was founded in 1957 and has since grown to over 190 attorneys and six offices throughout Wisconsin and Washington, D.C.
Something you may not know: Godfrey & Kahn helped the city of Milwaukee acquire an NBA franchise (the Bucks) in 1968!
2.) Tell us about your organization’s accomplishments and what you’re most proud of as an employer in Wisconsin.
We are very proud to consistently be named one of Milwaukee’s Top Workplaces by the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. We are one of only nine companies to be named a Top Workplace every single year since the rankings began.
3.) How do you impact your community?
We believe it is essential for our firm to give back to the community. We encourage community involvement through financial giving, leadership on boards and committees, sponsorship, and volunteerism. We are proud supporters of Cristo Ray High School, All-in Milwaukee, Milwaukee College Prep, and many, many others.
4.) Why is it important to your organization to support Summerfest through the Summerfest Business Alliance and what are some of the unique ways in which you distribute/use your Summerfest tickets?
We have found the SBA to be a valuable way to connect with other businesses in our community. We frequently distribute our Summerfest tickets among staff members as a benefit – our Milwaukee office is close enough to the grounds that many of our employees walk over for lunch!
5.) Favorite Summerfest Memories
We first booked a Corporate deck three years ago, and it quickly became the hottest event of the summer. Our favorite memory was seeing a rather reserved client and her husband both wearing Dropkick Murphys t-shirts and rocking out during the show!
Our leadership would love it if Summerfest booked Lenny Kravitz!
6.) If you’ve hosted a private event with us tell us about your party experience. How have you leveraged this event to engage your guests and benefit your organization?
We have had a very positive experience hosting guests and clients. Guests appreciate the opportunity to connect in a friendly setting. By allowing our guests to bring their friends and families, we’ve been able to grow our impact even further.
7.) What else would you like to share about your experience with Summerfest and the Summerfest Business Alliance?
We plan to continue our SBA membership and would encourage others do to the same. We’ve attended both the kick-off lunch with local publications and the post-Summerfest thank you and hope you’ll consider adding more events next year!
