Altius Building Company is a premier Construction management services provider based out of Brookfield, WI, that serves the needs of customers throughout the State of Wisconsin. Founded in 2002, out of a desire to bring a higher standard of excellence to multifamily and senior living markets, Altius manages construction projects of all types, tapping the resources and experience of a group of seasoned, expert staff. We have completed 507 projects within our time and developeding a 98% client satisfaction rate. Our focus is to provide customers with superior service and true value on their projects from concept to completion. We work with local designers, consultants, and manufacturers to ensure that the product that we deliver to the market never falls anything short of excellence and continues to carry on our value with a ‘customer first’ focus.

2.)  Tell us about some of the ways in which your organization gets involved in your community. What are some of the organizations you choose to support, and why is that important to your business and culture?

Altius Building Company is involved with multiple client-based community outreach efforts. This is our way of supporting efforts that help our clients obtain their goals. Some of our involvement includes:  WI Veterans Chamber of Commerce, Milwaukee Homeless Veterans Initiative, Nam Knights of America, ABC, NAMI Wisconsin, CARW, IREM, BOMA, REACH, Marquette University Center for Commercial Real Estate, and MMAC.

3.)  The pandemic has challenged us all to look at how we do business and adapt. What are some ways in which your business has had to adapt and pivot, and how has that led to success?

Change is not always bad. The industry’s most successful corporations and leaders are those who can immediately identify potential risks and institute programs of continuous improvement to prepare for and suggest best practices to yield the most consistent outcomes. We must continue to adapt and improve on any given topic as information becomes more available, definitive and relevant. The COVID-19 Pandemic was (and remains) no exception. At Altius, we do our best to analyze not only the years of historical metrics we have in databases, but also to understand the lessons learned from those metrics, ensuring a proactive approach to SWOT (strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats) and change response on not only our projects, but also globally from a business platform. It is our societal obligation to constantly provoke change for improvement.

4.)  Why is it important to your organization to support Summerfest through the Summerfest Business Alliance? What are some ways in which you use your Summerfest tickets?

Summerfest is a Milwaukee tradition. Knowing the popularity of this worldwide music festival, the entertainment value to our clients and subcontractors is priceless. The one thing we can provide to our clients is that of a memorable, value-added experience. While our services are one-of-a-kind, we want to leverage our construction management experience with a well-known, highly respected entertainment touchpoint. Summerfest offers us that opportunity and allows us to connect with our clients on a social basis. This rounds out our client construction management journey and offers that one-of-a-kind experience.

5.)  If you could see any band at Summerfest, who would it be?

We could not pass up an opportunity to engage our staff in a little fun survey to capture the wide breadth of bands we would like to see at Summerfest:

Imagine Dragons, The Weeknd, Five Finger Death Punch, Journey, Keith Urban, O.A.R., Nickel Creek, Billy Strings, Bon Iver, Rebecca Black, 5 Card Studs, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Toad the Wet Sprocket, Arctic Monkeys, Mr. Meyers, and Badflower.
