Free Family Fun Day June 7 - Summerfest
Milwaukee World Festival, Inc. (MWF) and Northwestern Mutual, through its Foundation, will be hosting the first Sunday Family Fun Day of the season at the Northwestern Mutual Community Park on Sunday, June 7, from 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. The event is FREE of charge and themed Summerfest, - a celebration of creativity and hands-on fun, celebrating Summerfest.
Performances and activities include:
- Performances from Milwaukee Flyers, Milwaukee Ballet, and Salsabrositas
- Enjoy an Eagles & Friends Raptor Show presented by Schlitz Audubon Nature Center
- Exhibits and interactive activities with Betty Brinn Museum Wonder Wagon – children can build their own obstacle course, Club SciKidz will offer hands-on experiments, Discovery World will teach children how to make their own guitar, plus Gearbox Labs, Girl Scouts of Wisconsin Southeast, JustUsAndBooks, Math Happiness Project, Rainbow Rhythm, Inc., Roar Ready, Ronald McDonald House, and TBEY Arts Center
- The Hovercraft Project – families can learn more about building and riding hovercrafts
- The AbilityCenter will host accessible sports/wheelchair basketball on the sports court
- Enjoy roaming performers along with face painting, balloon art, hoop dancing, and more throughout the day
Food Vendors
Food and beverage options will be available for purchase during the event, including:
- Babalou Gourmet Stuffed Pretzels and Soft Frozen Lemonade
- Fazio’s Gourmet Popcorn
- Pete’s Pops
- Sils Mini Donuts and Coffee
Free parking is available in Lot G, located south of the Henry Maier Festival Park Mid‑Gate, along with designated bike parking. Milwaukee World Festival, Inc. (MWF) has a food and beverage policy that prohibits bringing food or beverages into the venue, except for patrons with a medical necessity or special dietary requirements and nursing mothers. MWF reserves the right to alter carry-in item policies at any time.
