Details Announced for PULSE, A Health & Wellness Fest For All Powered by Aurora Health Care and Milwaukee World Festival, Inc.

MILWAUKEE, WI (August 28, 2024) – PULSE A Health & Wellness Fest For All, powered by Aurora Health Care and Milwaukee World Festival, Inc. (MWF) on Sunday, September 8, 2024, has updated the schedule of events and activities for this new FREE community event.

Whether you’re a fitness enthusiast or just starting out, PULSE has teamed up with the area’s top fitness and wellness studios, instructors, vendors, and more to bring this free event to the community.  This one-day event held at Henry Maier Festival Park from 10:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. will feature more than 40 free fitness classes and experiences, utilizing over 300,000 square feet of event space, including cooking demonstrations, panel discussions, youth sports activities, 50+ health and wellness vendors, plus live music from DJ Shawna throughout the day at the Aurora Pavilion.  

Headlining celebrity guests at PULSE are:

  • Green Bay Packers legend Donald Driver
    • Fireside Chat – 12:00 p.m. at The Wellness Room.
    • Driven Elite HIIT class – 1:00 p.m. at the Aurora Pavilion.
  • City of Milwaukee’s First Lady Dominque Johnson - YMCA of Metro Milwaukee
    • Zumba - 11:15 a.m. at the Aurora Pavilion.
  • Celebrity Chefs – cooking demonstrations at the Cooking Stage presented by Pick ‘n Save with Kroger Delivery. OnMilwaukee’s Lori Fredrich will host throughout the day, with audience questions following each cooking demonstration. Attendees in the audience will also have the opportunity to win $50 grocery gift cards, courtesy of Pick ‘n Save. Featured chefs include:
    • Adam Pawlak – Egg & Flour
    • Dana Spandet – Flour Girl & Flame
    • Imani Graham – Mentionable Eats
    • Ruta Kahate – Ruta’s Fresh Indian Fare
    • T’yannah El – Solful Kitchen

PULSE attendees can earn free items through participation in the Community Giveback and programming:

  • Community Giveback, benefiting the United Way of Greater Milwaukee and Waukesha County, Kradwell School, and Sojourner Family Peace Center
    • Aurora Health Care executive leaders and teammates will be onsite packing over 1,000 mental health and hygiene kits.
    • In addition to these initial 1,000 kits, PULSE attendees are encouraged to bring additional brand-new items still in their original packaging, such as deodorant, socks and baby wipes to augment the impact of this community giveback.
    • The first 1,000 attendees who donate items worth a minimum of $10 will receive a free Summerfest 2025 General Admission ticket.
  • Girls on the Run Family Fun Walk
    • All are invited to participate, kicking off from the Aurora Pavilion at 10:30 a.m.
    • The first 500 walk registrants will receive a FREE PULSE t-shirt, and all participants will receive a free Summerfest 2025 General Admission ticket after pre-registering HERE and checking in for the walk at the Aurora Pavilion, the day of the event. 

Throughout the day, participants at PULSE will have the unique opportunity to interact with experts in fitness and wellness at 12 designated programming areas throughout the event footprint.  Featured activities at PULSE include:

  • Aurora Pavilion
    • HIIT, cardio, and strength training with Orangetheory Fitness, Toned Body Fitness, and Sculpting Sistas Fitness.  
    • Participate in Tai Chi with Aurora Health Care’s Dr. John Burns.
  • Yoga Stage
    • Classes from Sky Yoga School, Tribal Yoga School, Yoga Six, The Moving Galaxy, and Life Time Fitness.
  • Milwaukee Rec
    • Classes including yoga, self-defense, Zumba and more.
  • YMCA of Metro Milwaukee
    • Classes including line dancing, STRONG nation, Les Mills BODYCOMBAT, Ninja Youth programming, Tai Chi, and more.
  • Animal Flow in Milwaukee
    • Introduction to Animal Flow classes throughout the day.
  • Pickleball Village with Prolite, Pickleball Kingdom, and Centerline Athletics
    • Open play, workshops, and coaching.
    • Pickleball vendors selling merchandise.
  • Fire Cycle Fitness
    • Spin classes utilizing state of the art Schwinn bikes and silent disco headphones.
  • Train Moment
    • Small group strength and conditioning sessions utilizing weights and Versa-Climber machines.
  • SheWolf MKE
    • Offering live boxing/self-defense training workouts.
  • Life Time Fitness Stretch & Recovery Zone
    • Dynamic Stretch sessions to help improve recovery and range of motion available in 25- or 50-minutes sessions.
  • The Wellness Room
    • Panel discussions focusing on mental health and family wellness with medical professionals and experts from Aurora Health Care, United Way of Greater Milwaukee and Waukesha County, Heal Black Men, and Pete Mueller Performance Group.
  • Sportszone – PULSE Youth Basketball Clinic
    • Marquette/Butler Mini B-Ball Clinic presented by Versiti with Joe Chapman, Travis Diener, and Versiti CEO and Butler Alumni Chris Miskel.
    • Club 52 B-Ball Clinic with Cam Marotta.
    • Rise Up Basketball Academy B-Ball Clinic with Alyssa DeCicco.

Don’t miss additional interactive fitness experiences and activities during PULSE from Orangetheory Fitness, Spire Fitness, the Journey House, IVME, Corporate Curling, and many others. Health and wellness organizations and vendors offering resources, fitness experiences, apparel sales, food and beverage sampling, and more will be available throughout the event.
