Corporate Sales Account Representative

The Corporate Sales Account Representative will grow corporate account relationships and revenue for Milwaukee World Festival, Inc. (MWF) and Henry Maier Festival Park through sales of our group ticket programs and corporate parties.  Working collaboratively with colleagues, the position will identify, develop, solicit, manage and retain corporate account revenue streams for Summerfest and other events produced by MWF.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Engage in sales efforts, directly managing a portfolio of existing clients participating in our Business Group Sales Program and Private Parties during Summerfest valued at over $1,500,000+
  • Prospect new relationships, develop comprehensive proposals, negotiate new business and retain current corporate clients. Actively engages in each step of the sales cycle with expectation of annual growth in overall revenue and minimum call volumes      
  • Create new opportunities and strategies to increase annual organizational revenues, ticket sales and private party reservations
  • Collaborate with colleagues to identify cross-selling opportunities
  • Manage and coordinate all aspects of the purchase fulfillment process including contracts, billing, securing payment, ticket distribution, and other necessary customer service tasks
  • Assist in managing data accuracy and integrity of Business Group Sales information in Salesforce
  • Support revenue, expense and select programmatic budgets, including forecasting, budgeting and planning to meet overall goals
  • Work in collaboration with seasonal staff who will focus on small existing corporate clients and new business sales solicitation
  • Manage setup and execution of all private parties during Summerfest
  • Assist in developing the strategy, creative direction, and execution of sales materials and the marketing plan for the Business Group Sales and Private Party programs
  • Maintain a safe, positive and productive work environment and ensure this intent is communicated and adhered to by all laterals and subordinates
  • Work with other departments in implementing contingency, continuity and recovery plans
  • Communicate relevant information to department and others within the company within a timely manner through proper channels

Education, Experience and Qualifications

  • A proven track record of sales success in a related field
  • Working knowledge and sales acumen in corporate hospitality and ticketing programs
  • Ability to resolve complex customer service and conflict management issues
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage various projects simultaneously
  • Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communications skills
  • Functional knowledge of the special event business
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
  • Valid driver’s license
